Come down to your favourite Walthamstow Brewery for an evening of pottery with your pals. In this fun, relaxed and inclusive workshop we'll show you how to use the pinching technique to make small cups, bowls, trinket dishes, plant pots or whatever your heart (or the clay!) desires.  The session will be run by professional potters and good friends Flo (Florence Mytum Ceramics) and Suzy (We Are Clay). After the session Flo and Suzy will glaze and fire your piece(s) so you can keep and use them forever. They'll be ready for collection from Exale Taproom around 4-6 weeks after the workshop. Burgers from Patty & Pickle, locally brewed beer, wine and soft drinks will also be available from the bar and can be enjoyed during the workshop.  Materials, glazing and the firing of your piece(s) are all included in the price. Learn the ancient art of wax carving!

Join us at the taproom, where you’ll learn how to carve your very own ring in jeweller’s wax – no experience needed.

In this relaxed, fun and hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to sculpt, carve, and shape your design into life, creating a unique ring model in hard wax.

Tools and materials are provided; all you need to bring are your ideas (and maybe a few reference photos if you like). At the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with your hand-carved wax ring, ready to take home as a keepsake. You can also choose to have your finished design cast in silver afterwards at an additional cost if you fall in love with it. 

Don’t worry if you’ve never held a carving tool before, this workshop is perfect for beginners!

Locally brewed beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks are available from the bar, as well as fabulous burgers from Patty & Pickle.

From leaving a message to your future self on our yellow telephone, to rug tufting creating community legacy rug each person will tuft a section of the rug and the finished rug will be displayed permanently inside Exale taproom, each event creates meaningful moments shared by the community.
