THe black eel
The Black Eel, Dalston is a vibrant East London venue set within a historic Grade II-listed building on Kingsland Road, originally home to one of the city’s oldest pie and mash shops dating back to 1862. Thoughtfully restored, it blends original features—like its tiled frontage and mosaic doorway—with a lively, contemporary atmosphere. Today, it operates as a multi-layered social space, offering natural wines, seasonal food, karaoke, a huge beer garden and flexible areas for events, workshops, and gatherings, all rooted in Dalston’s rich cultural history.
